Warmer days are approaching, which means my husband will be switching to cold brew instead of hot coffee in the morning, and that gives me a good chance to share my recipe with you. We are kind of boring when it comes to coffee drinking. We love to add just some milk. But you can add anything you like, especially now with a huge variety of coffee creamers available in the stores. You might forget how to get to your coffee shop once you try this.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 pound ground coffee, your favorite brand
  • 4 quarts of filtered or spring cold water
  • Your preferred coffee creamer or milk.

Instructions

  • In a large container, mix coffee with water. Cover and let sit 8 hours or overnight at room temperature.
  • Line a fine mesh strainer with cheesecloth and set over a container or coffee pitcher. Pour coffee over strainer, allowing liquid to run through, discard the grounds. 
  • Keep filtered coffee in a fridge, use as needed.
