4 cups old fashioned oats
1 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup unbleached almond meal
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup raw honey
1/3 cup coconut oil
3/4 tsp almond extract
1 cup dried cherries, halved
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325F .
Line your baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. (If using parchment paper, keep in mind that it will slide around if not secured.)
Mix oats, almonds, almond meal, flaxseed and salt. In a small sauce pan, melt coconut oil. Remove from heat, and add honey and almond extract. Mix well. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, and mix until well incorporated. Spread the granola on the baking sheet, and bake at 325F for 20 minutes, mixing halfway through. Once granola cooled down, add cherries, and mix well.
