Basic Brisket

Cooking brisket doesn’t have to be complicated. Meat is flavorful on its own so all you need is a few ingredients to help the natural flavors come out.

Ingredients

  • Brisket
  • 1 Spanish onion
  • 3-4 cups beef broth
  • 4-5 peppercorns

Method

Slice or chop onion and place on the bottom of the slow cooker. Place brisket on top of onion and sprinkle with peppercorns.

Add broth until brisket is just covered.

Cover and cook for 8-9 hours on low.

Enjoy fresh out of the slow cooker while it’s falling apart or refrigerate make a sandwich with it the next day. And freeze leftover broth for the next time you make a recipe that calls for beef broth.
