Simple Whipped Cream

The only time I usually buy whipped cream from the store is for Thanksgiving or some other holiday or event when I’ll need enough for a lot of people. Otherwise, I prefer to make my own because it’s not that difficult, and it cuts out all kinds of chemicals and preservatives.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Method

Place the sugar into a mixing bowl and add whipping cream. Beat with a mixer until cream has stiff peaks. Add vanilla extract, and beat for one more minute. Refrigerate until you’re ready to use it.
